Dr. James T. Brown - Family Medicine
Dr. Brown attended Valdosta State University for his undergraduate. He then went to Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, GA. where he received his MD degree. Dr. Brown’s residency training was completed at The Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon. He practiced in Monticello, Fl for 9 years before joining Primary Care of Southwest Georgia in January 2012 as a Family Practice physician.
Dr. Catherine James-Peters -Family Medicine
Dr. Peters attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham where she received a B.S. in Biology. She continued her education at the University of Alabama at Birmingham earning her MD degree. Dr. Peters completed her Residency Training in Jackson,TN. Dr. Peters is Board Certified in Family Practice. She had a very successful Solo Practice in Dothan, AL before coming to Primary Care of Thomasville in March 2010. Along with providing excellent care to her patients, Dr. Peters is also a Certified Professional Coder. She works diligently to give quality care for all of her patients. She loves getting to know her patients. She takes time to give that extra attention to her patients which is so important to their overall general health.
Dr. Peters is one of nine children. She is married with one son. She enjoys studying the Bible, reading, exercising, bowling, roller skating, dancing, music, Broadway Plays and traveling.
Gregory Dodson, PA-C - Family Practice
Mr. Dodson has been providing excellent care to the citizens of Thomas County for over 30 years. He attended the University of Kansas and graduated with a BA in Biological Sciences. He later attended Emory University School of Medicine in Atlanta, GA where he received his BS in Medical Science and Physician Associate Certificate. Mr. Dodson has been with Primary Care of Southwest Georgia since August 2007. He is a Certified Assistant to Primary Care Physician by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) and licensed in both Georgia and Florida. He is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and a past board member and president of the Georgia Association of Physician Assistants. Mr. Dodson was named Georgia Physician Assistant of the Year in 2003.
